When escapism can no longer mask the reality of her life, a young girl decides to leave it all behind to find peace, only to be reborn in a world where deadly parasites thrive. After being infected by a vicious dog bite, it’s aristocratic and mysterious owner Cecil Ravel reluctantly takes her in. Now that she renamed herself Manako-chan, she will quickly learn running away from her problems is no longer an option. Will she be able to find a sense of purpose and belonging in this new world?
Rotting to Live is a comic by Gleamy Guts and their take on the isekai genre highlighting difficult topics with sincere moments while sporting a dark but cute aesthetic with it’s menhera characters and occasional light-hearted humor. The first chapter was written and drawn in only about 6 months as a self-set deadline to debut it at Dokomi 2025. From now I plan to continue writing it on my own pace!
